I have an industrial inkjet which uses a standard HP-45 Ink Cartridge. However, the inkjet machine manufacturer pastes a custom-made contact chip onto this cartridge. The cartridge holder has contact points to communicate with this chip. The purpose of this chip is to count the number of sheets printed. When a certain number is reached, the program running the inkjet will not allow me to continue unless I put in a new cartridge. The markup by the machine manufacturer for the HP-45 cartridge is very high. I am looking for somebody who can either disable this feature in the program running the inkjet OR can help me manufacture the chip myself, so that I can use a normal HP-45 cartridge and then paste this chip on the cartridge myself.
