This is a project regarding interfacing of 2 healthcare software: 1. OpenEMR (a patient records system (HMIS) - more details available at [login to view URL] ) & 2. Smart Biometric for Insurance billing The biometric system has capability to interface with HMIS in order to facilitate seamless exchange of information between the two systems. Through this process, we shall be able to achieve the following: i. Seamless and global information sharing between the two systems ii. Reduced steps in business processes iii. Elimination of redundant tasks on both the systems iv. Faster processing of data with higher volume of information processed/shared v. Reduction of data entry errors Attached find copies of the process flow document, scope document , and data exchange table definition and exchange file templates([login to view URL] and [login to view URL] respectively) for your review. 1. The [login to view URL] file is a Smart generated file which HMIS will be required to read and retrieve the patient card data 2. The [login to view URL] file should be a HMIS generated file which should contain the claim/bill generated for Smart to read/retrieve. The exchange process of the two file; Fowardedcarddata and hospitalclaimfile will be done in the database by uploading them as blob. Attached also kindly find a script containing the structure and sample data of the three tables. We have populated the three integration tables; exchange_files, exchange_locations and exchange_types with sample data for your necessary action.
