Build a Laravel Markdown extension to render a (Owl) carousel

Hello,

I am building a web application that requires several extensions to the Markdown editor it uses. In this case I would like to allow editors to write markers that will be translated by the extension in a proper Owl Carousel ([url removed, login to view]).

Mocking up some markdown text, it could be something like:

{carousel:1,3,4,7|[description for first image](url1)|[image three]|[forth image](url2)|[seventh](url2)}

Please notice that:

- "carousel" is a marker for the extension;

- 1,3,4,7 are model ids representing the images (I will be responsible for linking my models to this extension);

- [description for first image] each image has its own description

- (url1) some images may have links to other websites (SOME, not always all of them as you can see for image 3)

I don't mind changing the marker structure if it makes more sense.

I would like to anyway use a structure that would make sense for other extensions I need.

The platform is based on Laravel 5.2 and the markdown package is Laravel Markdown v7. Images and Media in general for the main platform are managed with the package spatie/medialibray v4.

Thanks a lot,

Federico
