To create the bootloader section of a biggest project where this section will be included.
Target processor: Cypress ARM MB9BFD18T (or other similar in the family of MB9BFD10x).
Development with Atollic TRUEStudio.
Brief:
The file to be programmed in flash is resident on SD card/USB stick.
It is in S28 format (Motorola format like S19, S28, S37).
The mass storage (SD/USB) are FAT formatted (dimension > 2Gb).
The bootloader must erase the flash memory of the processor, open the S28 file, read the file, program it into the flash.
The bootloader part of code must be always resident in the lower section of the flash memory: if anything goes wrong during flash programming, the boot sequence must be able to restart by itself.
The FAT file requires only these functions: fopen, fclose, fread (sector - sectors), fwrite (sector - sectors).
The basic firmware to read/write the SD card are already designed, no need to be provided (for USB all the interface is necessary).
The designer must provide:
- the source code for all above described functions;
- the .ld file (for linker and memory assignments);
- test of the application on a Cypress startr kit (the designer has to buy it, then it will be parte of the design cost).
