Hi, I am an English web developer and server admin. You didn't mention server type but I am presuming it is linux, if windows then not my area of expertise. To complete this task I will take a number of steps to help ensure a smooth, reliable transfer with downtime either eliminated or kept to an absolute minimum. Whether downtime can be avoided depends on the nature and structure of the site which I will need to check. My basic process will be to make an AMI image inside AWS of the server and then share it with the new account. Taking this image I will get a complete clone of the server up and running in the new account. Then I reconfigure the new server to run under a test subdomain and make sure everything is fully operational. Setup synchronisation to keep the new server up to date with the live data. Then we coordinate the switch over and make the new server live.
