Hello! I'M LOOKING FOR a programmer who knows WordPress, has worked with the shopping cart Cydec, and understands basic Graphic Design. (Note: You don't have to be a high-skill designer, but you have to have an eye for what looks good and what doesn't). I'M HOPING TO BUILD a long term relationship with this person that will allow me to make them my trusted go-to resource for programing & development projects. THERE ARE my *musts*: > You must have enough feedback on here for me to trust you. I've never heard of this site, and found it while navigating to eLance. > You must be US Based. > You must be willing to do an introductory Skype Video conversation. > You must have had past experience with Cydec. > You must enjoy your job and like to have fun while you work! ;) MY BACKGROUND: I'm a guy, I'm married, I live in Michigan USA, I'm 26. I'm pretty tech-capable - I have installed / set up my own Wordpress site, and have built a decent business on it over the last 3 months. I'm pretty skilled with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, and I'm not TOO bad with programming in Dream Weaver. I've produced my own DVD and website to sell it, and much more importantly, I know how to sell it, and can do this well. I say all this not to "toot my own horn"- just to demonstrate that I'm not *totally* clueless ;) I haven't done anything wild with my site, but I can get by. I take pride in what I've accomplished with literally zero outside help, so please don't make fun of it :D I HAVE JUST ONE PRODUCT. The challenge here won't be adding dozens of products, but instead making my one, single product look awesome. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS: I think I want to give the Cydec shopping cart a try. I need some bulletproof shopping cart that doesn't stink, and I think this is it. It seems as if every other shopping cart I've tried has one or two fatal flaws. I don't THINK Cydec has any. You'll essentially be tackling this project with four objectives: First Objective: Help me determine if Cydec can do all the stuff I want it to. If it can, we move on. If it can't, perhaps I can hire you to help me find a cart that will. (I've already tried Volusion, Cart66, and Shopp- yet I am STILL using friggen PayPal Standard buttons, because all of these had some fatal flaw). Second Objective: You'll help me get Cydec set up, looking and working the way I want it to. Third Objective: You'll help me add our first Cydec test product to my site. I will then run a 50/50 SPLIT TEST to make sure my conversion rate won't go DOWN once I switch from PayPal Standard to Cydec. Fourth Objective: If it works, you'll help me roll Cydec out to all my other many pages. As you can see, the project could "break" during any one of these. At that point, we'd have to decide what was fair, and "settle up". Just trust that I'm fair and just in this sense. Looking forward to your bid! Pat
