Radio Media Shoutcast Streaming Player Web Application

I have a dedicated server with Redhat ent 3 ES (Taroon) that has installed CPanel/Fantastico web admin software and is compatible with php, mysql and perl/cgi I have arranged with some radio stations, that i will make their web-sites. They also requested me to make for the sites a shoutcast player !!! (they will stream music live via shoutcast!) the problem is that, not all users have a music player, and anyways, i want this player to be inside the browser, and not to listen the songs via windows media player or winamp.... i thought i could use some api to make embedded win media player in the site, but then they said they want it to run under linux visitors too and not only under windows and internet explorer!!! i tryied hotscripts and other free based script finding, and i found some good java based players, but then they said not all users have java preinstalled !!! So, i require the player to be written in php or anything else u can, but it must be under these rules: -configurable via a config file (link for stream, or any other info...) -compatible with any OS, and every browser, without requirement of extra installations! (that means it should work with a default installation of win95 and internet explorer 3+ /or/ linux old versions!!!====whatever in other words!) Ideas: i suppose that if the file was a static and not stream, we could load the sound in background as lot of pages do... how about to make it pre-cache some seconds and then play them as static sound file, and before it ends, to flush and re-cache? (also refresh the page or a i-frame of it that would pre-cache next packet of sound stream...) the problem is how those could be synchronized... i dunno if this is possible or if there is a better way!
