Hello, I am using Excel 2000. In a folder I am holding 2 types of files. 3 files are [login to view URL] and one file is [login to view URL] I need a macro that extracts information of this single files into one excel file. 4 files hold information for having one excel file finally. One problem persists. Whereas 3 out of 4 files are unique, the one reamining file (txt - ending) holds information for other files as well. To receive one excel file - 4 files are needed to receive the requested information. Work 1: File-names: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] 1. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file e.xls. 2. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file e.xls. 3. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file e.xls. 4. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file e.xls. Work is completed - save [login to view URL] into a specific folder Work 2: File-names: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] 1. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file f.xls. 2. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file f.xls. 3. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file f.xls. 4. extract data from [login to view URL], bring various data to excel file f.xls. Work is completed - save [login to view URL] into a specific folder And so on.... As you can see. [login to view URL] is a file which holds infos for [login to view URL] and f.xls.... Right now I am doing it manually. I hope to receive a saving of worktime by more than 80%. Please feel free to contact me if you have further. questions. Serious bidders can receive sample files for testings.
