Promote growth of Piccs, Midlines and SherLock 3CG technology and use of ultrasound in key growth hospitals.   Ideally the candidate should have placed Piccs in clinical practise and be working in the field of vascular access.   Ideally the candidate will be based in North Iberia (Navarra, Bilbao, San Sebastian...) to cover the North of Spain and assist in covering Portugal. There is the expectation that other areas of the Spain&Portugal will need to be covered as required which may entail overnight stays.   This position will report to the Sales Manager, BAS PICC Workshops and follow up training    Facilitate Advanced Practice Picc Placement workshops in the territory of coverage.   One day Advanced PICC Placement Workshop – this includes the theory component such as anatomy and physiology related to vascular access, device choice, complication management, ultrasound techniques, 3CG technology with the opportunity for a practical training on mannequins.   2.  Bard Preceptorship Programme will take the trainee candidate from novice to competent PICC placer. The programme is designed to assist the trainee choose the appropriate vascular access device, the program helps health care professionals quickly appraise a patients individual vascular access needs and empowers the trainee to make appropriate vascular device decisions.    This training will include PICC placement using Ultrasound technology (Site Rite), micro introducers, needle guides and ECG technology   Identify with the sales team the accounts for Picc growth Clinical Specialist to visit and plan patients for PICC training for one or two consecutive days. Minimum 2 per day. An honorary contract with the trainee’s healthcare organisation will be required for the Preceptor programme to proceed where there is no on site mentor.   3.    Clinical on-site support from the Bard Clinical Specialist who maintains their skills as a competent PICC placer, regularly placing PICCs.   4.    Conduct peer review. This is an annual competency review for PICC placers who are required to have their competency formally assessed on an annual basis as part of their organisations clinical governance remit. Preceptor Meetings   Attend and occasionally run Regional PICC Precepting Programme Meetings – regional meetings are held in regions across the Spain & Portugal.   A consistent programme is run through the groups each year   Growth drivers   Provide clinical support to the sales team to Infection Control Nurses, Clinical Procurement and Service Managers by exploring areas for extended use of Piccs across Trusts. Collaborate with the sales team in meetings key clinicians. Lead clinically focused meetings to drive change to best practice. Work with sales personnel to territory plan training areas over the business year and beyond.   Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)   Meet and build relationships with the key Picc opinion leaders   Meet KOLs running Picc IV teams in the Iberia   CRM – Sales force Add customer calls and activities to CRM   Feedback   Monthly report to Clinical Lead to include the following; Number of Nurses trained in ultrasound Training activity on ECG technology Picc workshop run Review SIS activity actively worked accountsThe ideal candidate will be: Hardworking, enthusiastic, resilient and can demonstrate a successful record in training healthcare professionals which will include the implementation of new products Able to demonstrate the ability to identify new opportunities whilst maintaining excellent customer relations within established accounts and develop key opinion leaders Able to work closely with members of the sales team to deliver training and assist in meeting key opinion leaders Able to demonstrate effective territory and time management skills. Will exhibit excellent listening and communication skills. Able to demonstrate effective presentation and account management skills IT literate and is able to demonstrate effective use of the web based business tools provided to ensure success. Strong clinical skills in the field of vascular access.
