Zen Cart not Sending Attribute Option Name to our Ajax Filters

We have a custom site, built on Zen Cart with some custom Ajax Filters/menus. However, when adding new option names, the text is not being passed to the Ajax filters. Can someone with excellent knowledge of Zen Cart code please fix this and show us how to add more option values that work in sync with the Ajax menu?
