About us: We are a software development team based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. We do mostly of hour work inhouse, but because the increasing demand for our services, and high interest in our company we are now looking to outsourcing some of our more time consuming tasks, like programming, and development. You will always be dealing directly with one of our programmers which is also the project manager on the given project. The Project: A social network around videos. The main thing in this app is video. So you have to be really sharp when comes to smartphones development, and specially the video side of it. The app will be developed for IOS for Iphone and Java for Android. For starters the app will only be on smartphones, and the future will be including the Ipads and Different Tablets. The list here, will specify some of the core functionality that this app will need. This is just to get a basic idea of the size of the development, and when we have chosen our candidate, we will deliver a full project scope, including everything you need. Google API for login purposes. Facebook API for login purposes. Twitter API for login purposes. Our own Login option. The whole thing will be build against MySql Database. (We have the main structure, but this thing can change through development, so you also need to know a lot about data structure, normalization of database and understanding of scalable data structure.) 10-12 dynamic views / wireframes. (we have all of them done already) Custom Camera view. (This is essential to the app, we this custom designed.) CountDown trigger to postpone recording for 5-10 seconds. (When you hit record, it will count down from 5 or 10 and the then recording will start) The video needs to stop the recorded after 30 seconds. (Always, but this needs to be changeable) A maximum of 3-10 videos uploaded per user. When the video is done recording, it needs to be pushed to our servers. And of course inserted into the video table with filename, user_id, and video_name. Ability to follow the user of a video that you rated. Ability to be followed by a user that has rated you videos. Ability to rated videos from 1-5 stars / icons. And then show the average rating for the video. Ability to keep track of how many plays every single video has, and then output that info with the video. Ability to comment on videos, using both hashtags to target tags, and @ to target specifik users. Ability to get Notification when comments appear on video, when rating happens on a uploaded video, when someone that are followed post a new video. Sorting the main view into three different states. Hot videos right now (most viewed / best rating), best rated and most views. Auto load around 10 videos, and then automaticly load more if the user scroll to the bottom of the view. Possibility to share the video through other social media, facebook, google+, twitter etc. Keeping history of earlier rated videos. Generel statistics over how many videos a user has uploaded, how many comments the user has done, and how many plays the video has gotten.
