Now we want a keen set of external eyes with fresh perspectives to help us build the future together by coming up with a well thought, well structured strategy for 2021 and beyond. What you will do - Analyse the market by looking at customers, the competition, the substitutes etc. and provide insights into market share, threats and opportunities - Analyse the current Freelancer Enterprise offerings, team structure, strengths and weaknesses and provide actionable insights that tie well into the market analysis - Dive deep into the pain points of the customers and how Freelancer’s offerings can help them overcome these - Work with leaders and executives in Freelancer Enterprise to prepare a detailed report and well structured strategy for Freelancer Enterprise to pursue in 2021 and beyond - Help prepare the best execution path for the strategy, including identifying gaps and providing recommendations to fill them Skills and experience - Several years of management consulting experience, preferable at a Tier 1 consulting firm - Experience working on technology products and technology companies - Experience in performing market research, market analysis and designing go to market strategies - Experience working on two sided online marketplaces will be a plus - Experience in the staffing/recruiting industry will be a plus

When I talk about strategy I love to think of it as a logical sequence of actions to achive a particular goal. In order to do so, it is imperative to know the status of the business as of today, and to know exactly what are we doing and how we are doing it. We must understand the complexity of our business... this is a worldwide platform that must engage with a wide array of users all over the world, with different cultures, languages, realities, laws and ways of doing business. Of course, globalization has brought us closer, but still, finding universal solutions is harder that we think. In order to have a fighting chance, we must analyze all standard procedures and processes in order to get to know the core of all operations. That being said, having data available to analize all the business specifics and having a methodology to do so really changes the game. So, what data do we have? And what methodology we will be using to analize the "as is". We must have completely clear what we want to achieve: do we want to maximize revenue? do we want to know what our customers, both enterprises and freelancers, feel about us? are they making their profiles but not really using the platform? how can we make them linger and engage with us? how can we improve their experience and enhance communication channels? can design of front end user be a game changer? there are a lot of factors to analyze.
