Children's Book series

(This is a re-post of a previous project, but with more details) We are 2 working mothers who want to start a children's book series to better explain what mommies do while at work. Details (all are tentative): Target age: 2 years - 8 years Book type: Picture book Number of pages / Illustrations: Possibly 14-16 + cover + a logo Book size: Possibly 8x8 Illustration styles we like: -Christopher Eliopoulos ("I Am" series by Brad Meltzer) -Jake Parker ("The Girl Who Would Not Brush Her Hair" by Kate Bernheimer) -The silliness of Don Wood ("King Bidgood's in the Bathtub" by Audrey Wood) What we would like to request from possible illustrators: -Illustration sample -- if interested, please send a message with an illustration sample for the cover (sketches are okay). Use one of these two sample texts for inspiration: --->"My mommy is a teacher, and what does that mean? It means she helps children learn, from toddlers to teens. My mommy’s students are like seeds she has sown. And she waters them each day until they have grown" --->"My mommy changes lives each day. She’s a very important lady. To you, she may look like a nurse. But to me, she’s Super Mommy!" -Humans vs animals as main characters -- we want this book to be relatable to all children and their mothers. If you find that drawing an animal would help with this mission, we'd love to see your sample! Budget: -If awarded, we will pay $50 toward 2 finished cover illustrations ($100 total) -We will then use your cover illustrations to start a GoFundMe campaign to begin production -Final products will be awarded $500-750 per book (2 in the series for now, more to come depending on the success of the first two books)
