I need a way to monitor the uptime of many IPTV (UDP multicast) video streams . I would like to be alerted by email when a stream goes down. I would also like to be alerted when a stream returns online. This can be accomplished by utilizing FFMPEG/FFPROBE in Linux. I have a dedicated Linux machine that can handle the monitoring and alerts.
