I have a custom Linux ISO which installs a turn-key dedicated DNS server. This ISO was rolled for me back in 2010. The kernel is out-of-date and Yum no longer works. I have that ISO and can provide a copy. I need this to be re-created with current Linux software, but to work exactly as it does now. This ISO makes a turn-key dedicated DNS server and it has worked flawlessly for me for years. It's composed of this: 1) CentOS, 2) Webmin, 3) Install Script, 4) Firewall. To use it, you boot from a CD (burned from ISO) and it automatically sets up the dedicated DNS server, and creates some users in both Linux and Webmin. During install, it asks a few user, password and network configuration questions. Once installed, all that needs to be done is to log-in (via Webmin) and start adding DNS records. The copy I will provide still installs, so you can study the current install script and see how to easily re-create it with newer Linux release.

I believe the best way to do this is to ensure that you don't have to do this again, the next time you want to move to a different OS version. In other words, write a script that starts from a base OS ISO of your choice, then add the required components and then build an ISO. In short, the deliverable for this project should be a script that assembles an ISO based on your inputs, rather than the ISO itself. I will be able to help with this. Thanks, Venkat

i have built turn key Debian based router OS before with modified kernels and custom booting. including cloud service that controls it with built in DNS,web server,network monitor,firewall etc. i as well started my previous os on a cd and advanced to making it work on and a usb drive + added security to it, that if copied it wont boot . and it can be downloaded and created online using a simple windows app. i believe i do have the perfect experience to do this job. i currently reside in Canada and waiting for my profile to be updated. so actually if you need to upgrade to a better more secure system we can discuss such a project as well.
