Potree ([login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) is a browser-based point-cloud viewer. Potree allows you to take measurements on a point cloud. Potree include a function to export measurements to a DXF file which can then be downloaded. I'd like to add a new feature that allows me to take a 2D cross section of a point cloud and export those points to the DXF as well. A lot of the infrastructure for this feature is already contained in the elevation profile tool.
New feature (see also attachment):
1. Add tooltip to add a plane to the scene.
2. User can drag the plane to the desired place in the point cloud
3. A preview window shows what the cross section looks like at that point
4. User can click a download button to project all points "near" the plane to a DXF file (creating a point-based 2D schematic)
5. Measurement labels are also exported to the DXF file
This work is urgent.
