Seeking an illustrator for a picture book

I wrote a short story that I've been told would be a good children's book. It's whimsical, silly, and strange, but also dark, with a somewhat morbid ending. I hope to publish the story as a picture book, marketed to a wide age range, including for free-spirited adults. I was previously working with a different illustrator who completed three of the images (out of 19 planned), but she was unable to finish the project. I'd like to find a skilled, professional artist who can take the existing three images, and either complete the project matching the original artist's style, or slightly alter the three images to match your style, and complete the rest of the images for the book. I can pay about $300-350 for the entire project, but I can't afford to pay that all at once. I'd like to buy about 4-5 pictures each month at around $16-20 per picture. If you modify the original art instead of altering your style to match, I'd pay $5 each for those pictures. I'm open to negotiation, so please contact me with any offers or ideas.
