I would like to create cover art, chapter headings, and some full page illustrations for a novel that I am self-publishing. The chapter headings and full page illustrations will be black and white line art, in the style of Hablot Knight Browne's illustrations for Charles Dickens. The cover art will be in color, but in a spare, sketch-like style. I anticipate that there will be approximately 85 chapter headings, 10 full page illustrations, and a front and back cover illustration. Timeline: I would like to commission the first batch of works--a number to be negotiated, as I have a limited budget immediately--to support a Kickstarter campaign to fund the rest of the project and other production costs associated with the book. There will likely also be an associated podcast covering a portion of the book, and the website(s) associated with the podcast should be able to present the artwork. Ownership: I need a perpetual, unlimited license to use the images in connection with any edition or other presentation of the book, including commercial reproduction on merchandise related to the book. The artist can retain other rights. With the right artist, I'd be interested in cross-promotion between the book and the artist's website.
