Hello: I need this pretty quickly, so please only apply if you can turn this around with little delay. What we need is a very, very simple player using the Dacast API for live streaming. The player should use HTML5 and work on ALL browser/platforms, including mobile. The player should only have a play button in the middle of the screen to start the stream, volume control, select resolution, and full screen. That's it. We don't want a scrub bar, forward, rewind, etc, etc. If we are able to customize the player colors via CSS or a HTML file that would be great (no reason to build a backend for it). Likewise, we can insert Dacast video ID into the code you develop, etc. To work around HTML5 permissions of the user having to enable audio, the play button should enable audio when clicked. We don't want users having to go to the volume icon to unmute. The user should not be able to pause or stop the video. If they refresh, close page and return, etc... it must start where the live stream is currently at. Please let me know estimated number of hours to build this and your hourly rate. Also indicate when you can complete it by. Please detail your experience with live streaming video (and Dacast in particular). Thanks!

Hi there, I'm Matt Sergej and can help you create your Dacast player (26 years a webmaster and IT developer, 11 years a WordPress developer). Dacast uses various existing video javascript players and most scriptable is VideoJS one - I found it also most compatible and supported on all browsers and platforms. For your configuration desired features some colors can be set in Dacast options on the web page where it resides yet some will have to be added. For example hiding a scrub bar is easiest and most often done with hiding its element using CSS rules. There will be no issues regarding volume icon and un-muting sound. Video will start playing with the audio level percentage set (0 to 100). I prefer fixed rate since hourly rate can be hard to predict for a non-typical task. Planned are 7 hours charged at 25 USD/h (for output hours only - e.g. only when working on real output work, no error fixing etc) so I rather propose a fixed type rate job at 175 USD. Any overhead hours would be on me. Regarding my experience with live streaming video I have enough practice with working with various scripts and servers for live streaming. Here you only want to play a stream that gets open via a file and using an existing video player so there’s no unknown things, just controlling the playback via player features and API.
