I'm looking for a design and development firm that can create great Wordpress sites at a fair rate. We will start with one project as a test but this can easily result in much more work if you are easy to work with and deliver according to the scope and on time. We currently build three to five websites per month and that number is slowly increasing as our business grows.
Here is how our project flow works:
You will be provided will all of the website collateral up front. This means all page content as well as all of the web page designs in a PSD format with layers. If you require a different format please let us know.
You will then take those designs and build them in to a Wordpress application using a responsive theme that we provide. Recently we have started using the X them and love it.
Here are the requirements:
- The website must be responsive
- The website must match the designs that are provided
- The entire website must be manageable from the Wordpress admin panel - we have had developers in the past build websites that have content or functional components that aren't easy to manage in the admin panel. You must build the site so that our Clients can very easily manage them using the Wordpress CMS. This means using a page builder to format the pages, using theme short codes for elements, etc.
- You must provide an instruction manual upon completion that outlines how to use any special or functional components. The instruction manual doesn't have to include basic or normal Wordpress functionality, we already have that written. Just special or customized components.
- You will be responsible for all testing and migrating the website to the live server.
- You consent to 30 days of support after the completion of the site in case anything "breaks" or needs to be adjusted. Anything outside of the original scope will be billed separately of course.
- All websites will be branded under our Company's name and will be our property. You may not use them in any public portfolios.
- You will possibly be engaging with our Clients during the build process. In those cases you will represent yourself as a member of our company.
The "standard" Wordpress site:
- Home page banner with up to three slides
- Up to 15 pages total (usually not more than 10)
- Image gallery
- Up to three forms
- Social media icons
- Google analytics code insertion
- Some light graphic design for banners and images
- Any functional additions will be an added cost that you will provide before we start
Important: Please provide the following in your bid -
- Please tell me what you charge hourly for changes and/or updates.
- Please include any Wordpress sites that you have built - If you can provide admin panel access so I can see how clean your back end building skills are that will put you at an advantage when building.
- Please also tell me how much you charge for design. Right now we are doing the design in-house but if your company has good design skills and are reasonable from a rate standpoint I'm open to outsourcing that as well.
