Sci-Fi RPG card game mechanics and research.
$15-25 USD / hour
I'm looking for a sci-fi aficionado to help me iron out the core mechanics and name each card appropriately. Allow me to elaborate...
The game in a nutshell. Characters must complete a story-driven campaign. Each campaign is broken up into individual missions. Missions consist of a variety of the three different Event Cards: Encounter, Obstacle, and Discovery. To successfully pass each requires a variety of skills but most important is Encounters which require combat.
Combat is based on the holy trinity MMO fundamentals. Tank, DPS, Healer. Three players are required to play but of course, one player can obviously control more than one character.
Character builds revolves around Equipment and Ability Cards. Each Equipment card has a set number of Action cards that are added to your Action Deck. For example, Weapon Cards have 6 specific cards that are removed from the Action deck and added to the Characters Play Deck. Where head slot cards only have 3 action cards.
-It's important the given Equipment card has associated Actions Cards. Such as block oriented cards accompany armor type equipment and attack-oriented cards with weapon cards.
-Ability cards are specific to the associated role. Either Tank, DPS, Healer.
I need you to help me research and name the following:
1. Action Cards
2. Equipment Cards
3. Ability Cards
Also, help me assign properties to the card and balance the mechanics. I want this to be the first card game where builds are complex enough to warrant theory crafting and online discussion. It's also important to keep in mind I would like this to be done knowing a mobile app will be made after everything is ironed out.
