Good afternoon,
I have worked in the estimating department and on site for a Tier 1/2 Builder in Melbourne on a number of projects, and have also worked for a boutique property developer. I have extensive experience in estimating, tendering and quantity surveying.
I am also an accredited Civil Engineer, having graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Masters of Engineering (Civil with Business).
Regarding the question you have proposed; construction of concrete slab has many variables, all of which are entirely dependant on the site itself, the design, scale, suppliers and subcontractors.
As a rough guide;
- concrete required for a suspended slab can be estimated at $200/m3 (depending on scale),
- add $15/m2 for typical monolithic finish to top of slab.
- consider cost of any cast-in plates and plinths.
- concrete pumping costs estimated $28/m3.
- costs of labour, supervision, concrete testing etc. to be considered.
- costs of formwork are also to be considered; assume soffits to cost approx $130/m2.
- consideration to any set-downs in bathrooms and/or balconies to also be included. Formwork
- reinforcement can be assumed to approx $2,350/t (dependant on scale and suppliers)
- starter bars, approx $35/unit (dependant on size/scale)
- Post tensioning? approx $6,500/t,
- Design and shop drawings?
As noted previously there are many factors to consider in determining overall costs.
I would be happy to send through my resume, please contact me via chat.
Regards.
