Elevation Profile in Autocad Map

I have terrain elevation curves in Autocad and I want to draw a pathway and have automatically drawn an elevation profile of that pathway (in the same way google earth elevation profile is created). I need understand how to do it ...and if it have to be done with a LISP...i will need the code.
