I need someone who can assist me to source RGB/RGBW digital LED strip lighting, controller(s) and the relevant power sources for a lighting project to be performed on Saturday 6th January.

I need someone who is able to discuss & act in real time with the initial & final steps of this project, so perhaps we can discuss these via webcam.

You will need to assist me to source approximately 100m of RGB/RGBW LED strip lighting, which will be stuck to the roof of a nightclub in order to create a surprise effect at an event. The strips/drivers will be multi-coloured, mapped into a grid (see below), and able to change via laptop software (USB?).

Software will need to be able to recognise the BPM, or will be able to be programmed with a specific BPM.

Setup:

5m x 10m "grid" of digital LED strips to be set up similar to below:

Also need to source power source(s) and controllers.

The LED strips will be controlled by laptop (currently I have old mac laptop, but can use windows if required, or can install linux on the mac). I also have spare Raspberry Pi 3b but may not be useful unless used by remote control etc.

You will need to:

> Source/suggest all parts required (emphasis on economy). If you are able to supply the parts that's fine, but they need to be cost competitive and able to be delivered and functional in Sydney CBD before deadline.

> Suggest software to use.

> Give guidelines for setup, and then assist with any troubleshooting (via webcam if required) on Thursday 4th Janurary 2018

You can guide me with setup via someone else's YouTube video if you wish, but I may need your assistance at times.

Performance is 8pm this Saturday 6th January 2018 (Sydney time); absolute deadline is 3pm that day.

I imagine project will run as follows:

>Discuss project (preferably via webcam - it's faster)

>Guide & assist with sourcing of equipment

>(I will then order equipment - international express post)

>Assist with set up of software and proposed arrangement/mapping of the strips whilst waiting for equipment to arrive

>Guide to set up equipment, lighting & wiring (I have some experience with Electronics/DMX/Midi/Unix programming)

>Assist via webcam at the venue with any troubleshooting

Should be an interesting experimental project, looking forward to your feedback & working/discussing with you.

We can make use of raspberry pi, I have created a program that can act to your commands and light LEDs. Same program can be used to do this task as well. Relevant Skills and Experience I have over 5 years of experienc More

Hello, I carefully read your project description and the quickest solution is to use multiple strips of NeoPixels which are totally compatible with Arduino (No need to Raspberry pi). I'd also recommend using external 5 More
