I want to build a small wall-mounted small model village to entertain grandchildren, and to have various lights come on at pre-set times, and to stay on for pre-set times. They will be built into little houses, shops, street lights etc. and make it look like the village is closing down for the night. I would like to have some of the lights to come on at once with a single On switch but I think it would be nice to have various circuits come on some time apart from each other, so that we can watch "Mrs Smith" getting home from work, the street lights coming on one at a time, etc., then lights going off as the villagers go to bed. And so forth. Maybe 6 or 8 circuits is all it needs, each to drive up to a handful of LEDs, but with a way to determine when they come on after a master On button, then each circuit to go off again at a pre-determined interval. Some may stay on for hours, others for only a few minutes. There should be a simple way to change the on and off times for each circuit. I am a retired ex-IT management professional but I haven't done any coding for thirty years and don't want to start again now. If this cannot be done simply and easily then I will forget it, but it seems like it should be simple enough for someone who knows the Arduino environment reasonably well. I don't have any kit but will get it as requireed. I can assemble a circuit, solder, etc. Thanks, Mike

I would propose to use NeoPixel RGB LEDs. It will be very convenient for wiring and also makes your circuitry significantly simpler. Using the "usual" LEDs is also possible. Relevant Skills and Experience I work with Arduino since 2010. I have a good experience in remote assistance for beginners in electronics Proposed Milestones £120 GBP - Device works at the client's side Also, I can add a small music player for the sound effects (as a separated milestone)

To achive this we can easily use Arduino with Addressable RGB LEDs. We can address each LED separately and simulate each and every home and work place as well as street lights.(with color changes) Relevant Skills and Experience I'm an electronic engineer with 5 years of experience and I have good programming skills. I have used RGB addressable LEDs for various decoration projects along with Arduino. Proposed Milestones £150 GBP - Complete Project How many houses and work places would be there?
