To answer your questions: 1) I am thinking of building a tool with easy-to-use GUI using Python programming. The model for background removal would be based on a combination of segmentation model (UNet / Mask RCNN) and GrabCut algorithm in OpenCV for clean removal of background from your images. 2) The best way to make this tool will be to fine-tune previously trained model from open-source dataset and make it suitable for our requirements.
