Fill in a Spreadsheet with Data

This task is two-fold Task 1: I need to construct a database of the researchers/professors and their publications in the last 10 years. The authors should belong to the university departments listed in [login to view URL] and we only need to list the publications in the journals listed in journals.xls. This is an example for Fernando Alvarez at University of Chicago at the Department of Economics (see [login to view URL] to understand better these instructions). 1. Google "University of Chicago Department of Economics". 2. Click on "Faculty and Staff". 3. List Fernando Alvarez as a researcher/professor. 4. Click the link to to his webpage (this varied across departments: in this case click on his name and then click "homepage"). 5. Click on "published papers" 6. Entry all the information of this papers and add the characteristics indicated in [login to view URL] for each of the papers. 7. If any information on the paper is missing go to "google scholar" ([login to view URL]) and look up the article. 8. Return to Fernando Alvarez homepage and open his CV. Look all the journals he has refereed for and entry the information as required by the format. 9. Count his total number of publications. 10. No requiered information should be missing. Task 2: Construct a matrix containing information on coauthorship. In particular, the idea is to take the complete list of the authors in [login to view URL] once the data entry process of Task 1 is done and have it both as first column and first row of a spreadsheet. Then, entry the number of coauthored papers every pairwise combination given by rows and columns combinations. A simple example with two authors is provided in coauthors.xls. This is an example made with made up numbers in which the researchers/professors Fernando Alvarez and Robert Shimer have 34 and 35 total publications and they have coauthored one paper together. No year distinction is needed in this task. If coauthors do not belong to the list of authors in list 1 they should not be added to task 2.
