This project is about adding QSFP interface to the EtherSwitch model from INET library. Use the latest OMNet++ 5.2 as much as possible. 40G switch has 32 QSFP ports. Each QSFP port has 4 pairs (TX0/RX0, TX1/RX1, TX2/RX2, TX3/RX3,) of optical fibers each running at 10G data rate signals. Together they make a 40G interface. The 40G interface can also be reconfigured into 4 separate 10G interface. And they make 128 x 10G ports in total. Here is what I want to do. 1. 40G interconnect. When two such switches interconnect at 40G rate it is one QSFP port interconnect another QSFP port. However the TX and RX must be paired up correctly. 2. 10G interconnect. Typical application is FAT-tree topology. You may want to define the qsfp as a C++ class. simple qsfp { gates: output tx[4]; input rx[4] } A project description file is also attached. You can modify the EtherSwitch from INET and send me the project after you’ve done.
