I am a writer-editor with staff experience, as well as an award winning freelance background.
I am interested in your opportunity, and also write and speak Spanish. I also served on the editorial board for Hotel Executive magazine. I developed community engagement kits for both the U.S. Navy SEALs, and Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative (AAALI). My experience includes revising several SAMSHA pharmaceutical papers and protocols for their webpages, into "plain use". In 2005-6 I served as photographic editor and caption writer for the anniversary issue of The Safety Net, national magazine for for the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems, and photo editor and caption writer for their 25th anniversary history book on public hospitals, as well as the brochure for NAPH's annual conference. I also wrote the microsite for Destination DC's "Civil War to Civil Rights" tour. My background also includes content management development, publications management, webpage design and copywriting. In addition to having developed a youth marketing strategy for the American Association of Physics Teachers, I have written or edited a book, op eds, blogs, websites, social networking material, feature stories, newsletters, film production, corporate bio's, marketing overviews, print and radio ads, interviews, fact sheets, white papers, catalogue material, brochures, media plans and press releases. My work has appeared in Washingtonian, The Washington Post, AAA Horizons, The Boston Herald, and the technology section of The Baltimore Sun.
