This project is of a historic nature. For the first time scenarios about the tragedy that occurred in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 at 12:30 pm are being subjected to a study using up-to-date science and technology.
The chosen Freelancer should have in-depth knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics. S/he should have years of experience using the ANSYS Workbench software. An engineering degree, preferably graduate level studies are requirements.

In your simulation you will include the interactions between a cranium, cerebrum material and bullet. Instructions about parameters such as locations, muzzle speed, bullet dimensions, etc. will be provided.
I cannot possibly be in real time constant communication with the Freelancer. The chosen worker should use the LARGE, much richer interface in the Freelancer website and leave messages which will be responded depending on my day job and your time zone. I will do my best to accommodate your working hours.
The payment will be done through two milestones.

I am a postgraduate CAD/CAM Engineer and serving the automotive industry with my high proficiency in FEA and 3D CAD modelling. I have been using Ansys for FEA in order to design and optimisation and Autodesk Inventor for 3D CAD Modelling.
With shear strength of all materials to be penetrated known, we can perform the similar simulation. your work is an explicit dynamics analysis, it won't be recommended to do it using CFD solver
we can double check using it but preferably we would do it only in Explicit dynamics solver
I had done many many penetration test for bullets, and familiar with this kind of works,
so we will try 2 ways, first will be done using explicit dynamics, and second will be using FSI (Fluid-solid-interface)

I have been working in a large consulting firm dealing with various Medical devices product design simulations for Top MedTech manufacturers since 2010. I have worked on simulations of Human models.
I have a through understanding of the Finite elements analysis and performed various simulations since my Master's in Mechanical stream.
I have performed drop test simulations at 1m height as per IEC 60601 standards.
