I have a very large 3d island and the user can zoom in/out to have a full view of it.
Wile zooming out the amount of poly increases at a high rate. To have a fast and smooth zooming transition this is what I am planning to do:
First, to tune the level at which I hide all the moving assets (animated) according to the device computation power (set when the user instals the game). What are the best ways to implement that?
When the player zoom out more and the tris count increases further I would like to do one of the two:
Reduce the tris counts through interpolation or another similar algorithm. Is there a function or asset store to do that?
Otherwise I was also looking to transition to a 2D map ( top view) . Is there a function or asset store to do that?
