I'm not sure if video length is possible to obtain with all sites, it really depends on the hosting servers and whether or not they support 'Content-Length' headers or similar. Hi, I've total experience of 11 years and have worked exclusively for media asset management industry for 2 years dealing with various kind of videos - standard, high-definition and ultra-high-definition content. I've worked for streaming videos a bit as well, but every streaming company had exposed its own set of API's. This job wouldn't be as straight-forward as it will involve multiple streaming sites. For instance, YouTube and Vimeo both expose their APIs for all live streams. For others, I would need to check. But YouTube doesn't allow video download legally. Not sure if it does after paying some kind of fee. You haven't mentioned if the URL would be a direct video URL or it would be for a web-page that may contain multiple videos. Also, I would like to know, if you have any other specific libraries or APIs to refer to and what would be the exact nature of work required here. I may contribute to your research, if required. I'm placing a bid of 550$ as of now. But, I may reduce or enhance depending on the exact nature of work.
