We are looking for a skilled Arduino, robotic, electronic engineer for multiple projects.
Currently I'm designing a small self-going rail shuttle. The whole ide is that the shuttle can go from point A to point B on a track by it self without crashing in to other shuttles. To complicate it a bit, it has to be fast and stop to a standstill within a few mm of a set distance behind a hinder or other standstill shuttles in-front of it.
Our Shuttle will move similar as these on this Youtube film, but be propelled by a DC or BLDC motor with a transaction wheel.

* Will hobby grade Arduinos or equal and sensors be fast and accurate enough? Asking as we will build many of these and must keep the cost down.
* Will a low cost geared DC motor be enough or should we use a BLDC instead or even one with encoder? Keep in mind the cost ;-) But function goes first.
* We will need spare I/O for more sensors and outputs devices later for other shuttle functions.
* We may send over you a prototype test shuttle to if necessary later in the project.
You will suggest electronic hardware best suited for this project (based on your own experiences and not by chance or believe as many seems to do and then later trying to figure out how it works. We have no times with guess playing ;-) .
Let me know why just you are the best candidate for this project. Keep in mind that about 10-50 other very skillful people will do their best to convince me that they are a better candidate then you ;-)
This is a hourly based project as most parameters are stil unknown.
We are on low budget so if you know you need a high hour-fee, I can't afford you so you should not waste you time applying. For the right person we can increase the hourly rate though after while if all goes well, fast and with minimum mistakes.
