Previous projects have connected a car to a Garmin Xe using the OBD interface:

I want to connect a proximity sensor to a Garmin Xe over the same interface.

[login to view URL] - proximity sensor.

The job is to create an arduino function or library that will send proximity data to a garmin XE over bluetooth.

If you do not have access to a proximity sensor, using simulated proximity data will be ok.

All code must be well commented to enable me to input data from the actual sensor.

If you don't have a Garmin XE I would be happy to test your code.

Also, the OBD standard samples at 2hz, while our sensor is 6hz. It is important that the garmin accept the data at 6hz. Please advise if this is possible.
