Hi, I'm Matt and can help you (IT developer and webmaster for 22 years, WordPress developer for 11 years). Developing such plugin is not hard, here's some notes and tips: 1. Each city is defined as a category in WordPress. 2. For a city category (e.g. city) a special WordPress template is shown to customize it further (endless scrolling of images? Top 10 best voted if there is voting? etc). 3. Uploading offers a drop-down of defined cities - I recommend no users entering their own city names due to possible multiple names for the same city etc. 4. If the city is entered and available from drop-down AND a user is allowed to submit (immediately if no login is required or in WordPress with permission if logged and already one image uploaded and authorized by site administrator) the image is posted. For everything else - admin approval. 5. The custom plugin uses additional special table to hold the database of images. The table is defined for the planned traffic and optimized (in MySQL basically just having fixed field lengths for all data records so that it doesn't slow down after 1 million records e.g. images). Now for questions: a) Where will the images be stored? For high traffic site (a lot of visitors) you will need fast image retrieval so shared hosting is out of the question. Cloud space (Amazon, even Dropbox?). If images are stored elsewhere and only an URL is submitted then there are no issues. b) authenticated users or anyone can upload images? Regards, Matt
