Designer (Monthly contract)

We are looking for a designer who works exclusive on our website and illustration projects (often referred to as dedicated resource). Websites we work are mainly in Wordpress or a simple SaaS tools. The illustrations will generally be required to be created as JPEGs. The designer must have a very good insight of modern designs, with great ideas to make clean good looking websites and illustrations. The contractor should be a good communicator and available via Skype and emails, regular and sincere to complete tasks as soon as possible. Contractor will work with us for a month and based on the performance the contract will be extended. Work Overview ============= * Develop mockups and HTML/CSS for websites * Enhance webpages to look more 'designed' * Modify logos and branding (or create) new ones * Brain storm potential design ideas * Replicate existing websites * Improve CSS/HTML code of existing webpages * Good portfolio of designs, with prior experience in developing customer focused websites * previous exposure to Wordpress and plugins Good to have skills (although not essential) ---------------------------------------------------------------- * Occasional use of JavaScript or using libraries * Understanding of social media tools Process ======= Designers should be well versed with W3C compatible websites and should understand basics of Wordpress, or at least some exposure in the past. Process of working is very simple and based on a three phase process. Over the time the designer will be working on various projects. Phase 1: Accept and understand the relevant project and offer timeframe of completion Phase 2: Draw JPEGs of the design (mockup) for a webpage. The webpage might go through a few iterations to meet the expects design. Phase 3: On completion of the design the corresponding HTML/CSS will be required to be prepared following W3C conventions and compatible on most browsers.
