Automation of a Windows Application

Hi I have a 16 bit Windows application running on Windows 7. It is very old and tedious to use. Each morning I need to repeat a sequence of actions hundreds of times to change some values within the program. What I need is an automation script using a tool such as AutoIt ([login to view URL]), but I don't have time to learn the automation language right now, or do the testing to make sure it works. What I need is for you to create an automation script that does the following: 1. Reads a simple text file something like: Apple Corporation,10000.12 Microsoft,1234.56 Google Pty Ltd,4567.89 ... 2. Then, for each line of the file, a series of actions will need to be performed approximately like this: * Find an open window of the program or return an error * Simulate the pressing of an exact sequence of keys including (Alt, Tab, Return, Page Down/Up, F5, Esc, Up Arrow, Down Arrow, etc) * Paste 'Apple Corporation' into a text box within the application (the sequence of keys I give you will guarantee that the active cursor is already inside the text box) * Perform another sequence of key strokes * Then paste 10000.12 * Then perform another sequence of key strokes to 'reset' the application (make it ready for the next line of data) * Repeat everything above with next line of data until there are no more lines to process. Additionally... * There are circumstances where the flow will be be broken by an error dialogue appearing (this is expected). I'd like your thoughts on how we can work around this. Can the automation software detect a popup with a certain name and press some extra keys if it happens? * The software is not something I can give to you for security reasons, so after selecting you, I will give you an exact list of keystrokes and the task will be to automate '[login to view URL]'. We will do a small prototype to make sure that a script that works with notepad will work with my app, but I see no reason why it wouldn't. I'm a programmer, so I know roughly how complex this job is for someone with automation experience. Please make reasonable bids.
