Overview: I would like to pursue learning about several Apache projects for basic web development. This would include Wicket for the development, Derby for the database, maybe Shiro (for the security), and Jetty for the deployment. I would like a basic web-based application developed that is able to run locally with little or no configuration start-up. This application should include user management, basic security, and a clean looking layout. Detailed requirements is attached.
