Instead of using the Webbrowser control, I want to be able to send a string of HTML to a PictureBox or other standard control (or custom control if there's no other way but a standard control is preferred) and have it render the HTML.
Only the basic HTML elements need to be supported, not full-fledged support for HTML as it is today. The use would be just to provide a preview of a web page fragment, so no scripts, no pop-ups, or other frills wanted or needed. Just provide a bare-bones view of the rendered HTML. Links need to work and launch into the user's default web browser (outside of the app of course).
The code needs to handle badly formed HTML without errors or failing (just skip the "bad" parts) as the HTML sent will often contain errors or just a fragment of the complete web page HTML.
Must be VB6 code with no external references or components required. Please contact me with any questions or ideas before bidding.
