It means we can use sub query to fetch the quantity and update the BoydQuantityAvailable column where U1 based stuff does not exist

Hi I am an SQL expert with 12+ years of programming experience. The below statement is a bit unclear. I need the BoydQuantityAvailable in the U1 to = the BoydQuantityAvailable where the U1 doesnt exist. Are you looking for all SKUs like 1234 and its BoydQuantityAvailable, where evere there is no 1234U1 rows available? This can be easily done using the SQL "exists" clause. If you are looking for a different output, can you please explain a bit more? Thank you Roni

Hello. These conditions, the data can be selected only when using functions (CONCAT, SUBSTRING , etc.). Joining two tables for string fields using the functions in any case lead to a full table scan , ie request will take a long time . If these tests are constant and frequent , then the only way - to make a separate field to join the tables ( without the " U1 "), which fill in the trigger when inserting or updating rows .
