Hi, This will be achieved by deleting rows using ranking functions to keep 100 rows only. Delete order will be considered as we need to delete foreign key tables first otherwise SQL will throw error. Hi I will create a new database in which I will insert 1000 rows from each table with respect to foreign keys. I have been working with MSSQL for over 15 years. I am fully experienced as a developer and a DBA. Currently I am working at big financial organization in which I am responsible for the BI department. I have designed and the Developed the Organization’s Reporting Database which has been constructed with SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition. The database is being updated daily from the core system with txt or excel files via SSIS or with direct connection at mainframe’s DB2 and a numerous of KPIS are being daily updated during the ETL. For isolation reasons the KPIS are replicated to another DB (with transactional replication) which exploits the reports via SSRS to the consumers. Some KPIS are being replicated with merged (bidirectional) replication. Also, 10 Cubes in SSAS are being daily automatically processed and the end of the ETL. Several other reports are daily automatically produced and sent via email to the recipients. Finally I have designed and developed the bank’s crm DB which is published on the intranet. The DB holds full information about the customers (Customers,Addresses , Financial Data , Contacts , campaigns , etc) and covers 4 countries. To achieve this i have made partitions over the country code. The size of the Reporting DB, is about 4TB and consists of about 4.000 objects and the replicated KPI DB is 350GB. Best Regards mpa

Hi How many tables you want to export? Do you want to keep the foreign key relationships between each table? If not, an easy way is to create a new database and then import 1000 rows each form each of the original tables to the new database. Then you can backup the new database and send. We will need to write a script to loop among all required tables and insert 1000 rows from each of those table. Is it possible to populate the list of tables, or you have too many tables? Please let me know if you have a different scenario, I can give you the instructions accordingly, or work on team viewer and get this done. Thanks Roni

Hi! I can create script for this and you will run it your self. There is at least 2 ways: 1) delete all but 1000 (number can be customized) from database and then you'll export it; 2) create copy of database (structure) and copy only 1000 (also can be customized) rows to this new database.
