Assignment 2 : Computer Aided Power System Design and Analysis Value : 20% of Module I've done the experiment but i don't have time to do the report, so how reliable can do the reportComputer Aided Power System Design and Analysis 2 Introduction The ERACS software package comprises the following routines: (a) Diagram building and Display (b) Load Flow (c) Fault (d) Harmonic Injection (e) Harmonic Impedance (f) Transient Stability (g) Protection Co-ordination The first item (Diagram building and Display) is the main building block which is essential to run all other routines. The first two items (a & b) form the heart of the suite which are explored in this assignment. In this assignment, a typical power network is constructed and Load Flow Analysis is performed. Short circuit levels and Fault current levels are monitored and compared with those obtained from analytical calculations. It is important that you familiarize yourself with the package, prior to the lab sessions, by doing the tutorial given in the Directed Learning handout. Throughout this work, refer to the ERACS User Guide and Technical Manual, available in Help, Manuals menu. You are encouraged to keep a logbook to record your progress. 3 Assignment Requirements Students are required to: (a) Attend the laboratory sessions, as assigned in the group timetable. During the lab sessions, a staff member will be available to provide advice and support in completing the required network simulation. (b) Construct, using ERACS software package, the example network shown in Figure (1), following the procedure described in section 4. Write a report (a text maximum of 1000 words, excluding diagrams, contents, references etc.) to include computer print-outs and the different particulars described in sections 4 and 5. It is expected that the overall standard of presentation will be high and untidy or disorganized reports will be penalized. The quality of the network model is also important. While you may work on the network model with others, the report must be your own work; you must not copy from others. Any reference material you use must be acknowledged.
