Prepare a ship model for 3D printing
$250-750 USD
Paid on delivery
Given an existing Maya 3D ship model, modify it in preparation for 3D printing by (1) making the normals of its surfaces conform in the correct directions for 3D printing, (2) joining and extruding surfaces to make seamless 3D “shells” as appropriate for successful 3D printing (while preserving details such as windows and portholes), (3) adding a set of mesh "decks" and a grid of “walls” internal to the ship to serve as structural supports for the 3D printing process, (4) adding a set of thickened parts (of lifeboats, masts, rails, etc.) to complete the print-ready model.
