While I have not programmed in RPG since school in 1986 and that was on a VAX mainframe; RPG was my favorite programming language. I am not familiar with the AS400 IBM server series but I am a quick learner and there can not be that much difference between a Dell server and an IBM server. As far as RPG 4 goes, if the language is still based on the 80 character width/4 card system I would need a small amount of time to re-aclimate myself to the layout. I have heard though, that RPG is now available in the Visual series of MS software. I could not place an accurate bid on the project because of lack of experience (zilch) since school but if you are interested in discussing my doing this project we can negotiate a lower price than the minimum you set ($5000). I would really like the opportunity to acquire experience in RPG. I found this project while checking your location but initally bid on your other project for a SQL database.
