You'll need to clarify your project need detail in terms of Per Working Hour vs Per Audio Hour. I've been chief transcription editor/proofreader for three large transcription companies and as long as the working relationship between the owner and editor becomes transparent and honest as in trusting each other with the responsibility, they can more fairly price the proofing work as Per Working Hour - otherwise the proofreader will be burdened with 're-writes' or near re-writes which will drain their time for little reward and bring discouragement and lack of integrity with the accuracy level of the transcripts. I've trained hundreds of Filipino transcribers through live workshops and ongoing evaluations of transcripts with the intention of increasing their over all accuracy and skills over the last eight years successfully. My proofreading rate is $12 per Working Hour. My high-level accuracy guaranteed transcription rate is $40 per Audio Hour.
