Most likely a question/answer session will need to be had between the programmer and I, but here is the info:
I want an interface between QuickBooks (Enterprise Solutions, Version 3.0) and an Access database. The database has the information on people who owe money from Back Charges.
QuickBooks is what is used to pay people owed. Basically, QuickBooks meeds to query the Access database and see if there are any outstanding debts before paying a sub-contractor.
If a sub-contractor owes back charges, then QuickBooks should pay all the open items, then subtract all the back charges.
The invoice has to show all the normal payments, and the subtracted amounts due to back charges. Of course, to do this, QuickBooks needs read/write privileges into the Access data base.
The best approach would be to change the QuickBooks screen so that it has an area for back charges. If that cannot be arranged, then they would need an "interface" screen that links QB to Access.
