**Summary ** We need a Delphi **function** and test program that takes a binary file (passed as a byte stream or file name) and extracts strings (as a string list)? that are bounded? between start tags (one or more, passed as a paramater)? and stop tags (one or more passed a parameter). **Start and stop tags (in hex)**? * Need to include variable portions eg: start tag = 0FXXAEXXXX12 will match 0F54AED34A12 The? function? needs to report the XX hex values - if any - as well (where X = half a byte) for each string in string list (so perhaps the? function should have type 'Stringtag' holding two string lists one for the string and one for the XX hex values?). * Any start tag can start any string extraction and any stop tag can stop any string extraction. * _Don't worry about nested tags_ (ie once a start tag has been hit, wait for a stop tag before looking for start tags again). **The test program ** * An open file dialogue (binary file to be hacked) * Two small memos for input of start and stop tags (one per line). These should populate from [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] text files (filled by default with the test tags shown below) and save automatically at each memo change event. * A string grid with two columns ? - Strings (wide column) ? - XX hex values (column enough for 16 characters - New Courier) **Test data ** Any power-point file with text in it (grab from web)!? Use start-tag = A80FXXXXXXXX Use stop-tag #1 = 0D0D Use stop-tag #2 = XXXXXX0FXX You will find that this will act as a text parser for powerpoint files! It does not need to be prefect at text extraction of powerpoint files but the algorithm needs to work as described above. ## Deliverables Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details.
