Hello, I would like an application written that would produce a "busy" condition for any web server that I wanted to test it's performace in situations like this. For Example, a server that suddenly recieved thousands of address requests to a particular URL address. The application needs to reside on one computer, and send these requests to a URL address, while another computer can try to access the same URL to see how long it takes to gain access to a web site. I would like the application to be able to run on most common computer hardware availible today, and with the most common operating systems. (windows, linix, Mac Xserve) The application needs to be able to be installed on any of the systems shown above, and send the busy requests based on a schedule (a pre determined number of requets from 1 to X) or run continuously until a command is issued to stop transmitting. We are looking to measure different web servers that we build to see it's ability to process a large amount of traffic requests to a URL address in order to determine it's ability display web site page views once it gets busy via this program. I would prefer the application to have some type of a GUI interface, not a command line interface. Please respond back with your pricing or additional questions. Thank you.
## Deliverables
So briefly, here again is what I am looking to do: 1.) Flood a web server in my lab with a pre-determined number of simultaneous requests to a URL hosted on the server. 2.) Take a second computer system, and see how long it takes to access the same web site URL of the busy server. 3.) Application must be able to accept a pre-determined number of requests (scheduleing) and execute that number...or be able to simple send a barrage of requests until it is told to stop transmitting. 4.) Application must be fully tested on each of the operating systems mentioned above. 5.) Would like one executable for each of the operating systems above. 6.) Will pay 1/2 of the fee (if I accept it) down and the other 1/2 after I have installed and tested the application on at least one of the three operating systems. (preferably windows 1st)
