Browser plugin/control for web based app

We have a web app that we are currently writing for our organization. ? We are needing two modules that we have not been able to get working. The first is a web/scanning module. ? Our goal is to have an icon/link, on our website that opens the local twain scanner. ? Scans the document that is currently loaded. ? Saves the document as a pdf, names the document according to what the webserver names the doucment. ? Uploads the document via sftp. All of the above is to be performed in the background. ? With little of no user intervention. The second is a print module that prints to the local default printer. ## Deliverables We envisioned this app as a plugin for Firefox and Chrome Browsers. ? It must work with BOTH Firefox and Google Chrome. The app should work on any common Windows Operating system XP or later.
