Our company provides today a b2b web analytic solution for identifying which companies visiting a website. For every “new” ip-number we collect we do a “who-is lookup” and identify the organization behind the IP-number. Finally we classify if the organization is a real organization or an ISP (internet service provider).
Now, we want to increase our IP database and at the same automate the classification of ip-adresses. The system shall help us with the following:
- Find new IP-numbers (to start with in the Nordic countries).
-Do a who-is lookup of the IP-number and classify if the organization is a ISP or not
We are looking for an expert in this area and we have not yet identified the solution. Our ideas are:
- If possible, use web scraping for mass identifying ip-numbers.
- Use some kind of mining tool to auto-classify if the ip-number belongs to an ISP or a “real organization.
We are looking forward your proposal with solutions how we can solve this. Please feel free to ask questions.
Please note: If we find a solution to our problem the comitment will be long-term.
